YouTube Content & Community Manager Role overview: The purpose of this role is to manage the day-to-day activity across JD Sports YouTube channel.
To proactively and efficiently manage content channels from concept through to execution and delivery.
You will manage the backend of the channel including content uploads, scheduling, tagging, metadata and SEO as well as building and managing the community.
Reporting into the channel manager and working alongside our creative partners, you will support in keeping the channel active, engaging and trending Responsibilities: Channel & Content Management: Feed into pre-production from a content & roll out point of view.
Manage the post-production & delivery process for long & short form.
Distribute content to internal social teams with direction and scheduling promts.
Manage the back end of the channel scheduling content and ensuring strategic play to ensure all content performance is maximised.
Optimise long form into short form to re-purpose across all social channels.
Edit long form into social clips.
• Ideate talent focussed concepts for social.
Attend shoot days where required (approx.
1 per month) • Write descriptions for videos and shorts, including metadate, tags, hashtags and subtitles.
Contribute towards driving the channel towards key KPI's through community building & trends.
Community management keeping on top of comments across all videos.
Manage channel content schedule, tracking content production to ensure deadlines are met.
Support on any YouTube driven talent briefs.
Tasks may include but are not limited to: Working with agency and/or talent on concepting; Sourcing relevant YouTube talent; Budgeting; Contracting; Managing conversations and content; and updating internal and external stakeholders.
Support in the delivery of graphical elements such as thumbnails and end frames.
Skills and Experience: Knowledge of the JD brand; past & present.
A strong knowledge of YouTube as a content platform including experience in content management and writing metadata and SEO.
Experience in managing production & post-production for long form YouTube content.
A strong understanding of social content, trends & storytelling.
Have the ability to identify potential viral moments from long form content.
A strong understanding of the Urban Youth space across YouTube & content creators.
Strong project management skills, organised and able to manage multiple projects at one time.
Excellent attention for detail.
