Description Within the IT Delivery HUB Europe, we need a Team Leader. The Team Leader position is a key success factor of the entire IT HUB Sales, playing a vital role linked to the services, management, and the team.
Capability Team Lead Responsibilities: Supports personal development, coaching of employees, and employee retention.Shows long-term development opportunities including trainings and coaching and enforces participation in required trainings.Supports administrative leadership tasks (LEAD-IT, Salary, Vacation, and permissions) in consultation with the business streams.Provides cross-functional standards (technical & economic), if necessary, and creates synergies by facilitating exchange and collaboration between different capability teams within and across capabilities.Closely aligns with the business streams on a regular basis to discuss topics such as resource planning and performance evaluation of team members.Oversees skills and future needs of people within the capability team.Executes necessary disciplinary actions.Communicates relevant information to employees.Responsible for the resource planning of internal capacities and handles allocation of employees to projects.Manages new demands successfully, providing the best fit resources/skills to the different needs that arise within the capability.Impulses an innovation and continuous improvement mindset in the capability team.Other Responsibilities: Coordinates and executes successfully project and service management activities under capability responsibility.Identifies and escalates possible project/service constraints.Mitigates risks properly.Abstracts and breaks down complex problems into smaller, manageable components and analyzes them systematically.Deputy Activities of Area Manager: Definition of team goals.Understanding and analyzing business issues, opportunities, and trends; understanding market dynamics and customer behavior, and identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.Fulfills controlling requirements and procedures with regards to cost center, profit center, OP, estimated actuals, resource allocation, etc.Manages holidays and permissions.Qualifications Education Degree & Technical Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, or administration (e.g., Management of Economics) related professions.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Mercedes-Benz IT, RD, or other software engineering related areas.
Technical Knowledge/Accountabilities: Proven experience in support and operations management including stakeholder management with a high sense of end-to-end ownership and drive towards strategic goals & delivery.Proven experience in IT processes and management activities.Familiarity with software engineering processes.Willingness to learn about new technologies and promote their adoption.Understanding the value chains of the Business Partners.Ability to identify, eliminate or contain technical and business risks.Understanding of the IT organization and its current processes.Understanding concepts associated with organizational change.Good understanding of various industry standard agile practices (DevOps, SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban).Profound knowledge and understanding of the customer journey as well as sales processes in Mercedes-Benz sales.Experience (Skills and Years): Managing the dependencies between product/software components and their owners; identifying dependencies, tracking changes, resolving conflicts, and ensuring seamless and efficient collaboration.Experience in leading cross-functional teams and serving as a servant leader towards peers, teams, and business partners.People management skills and motivation to develop specific tech-oriented capabilities.Increasing the value of the organization for its stakeholders; optimizing the organization's value proposition and resources to create long-term sustainable growth.Internal candidates: Team Leader (E5), Top2Lead confirmed or equivalent.
Reading, writing, and fluent conversation in English.
Desirable: German and/or Spanish (not mandatory) for reading, writing, and conversation.
