Position Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and skilled E-Commerce Merchandiser with strong copywriting experience to join our team.
This individual will be responsible for managing product data, crafting compelling product descriptions, and optimizing our online product catalogs.
The role requires a proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, especially in copywriting for the U.S. market.
Key Responsibilities : Write and manage product descriptions, metadata, and other product-related content.
Upload, maintain, and update product data in e-commerce platforms, including BigCommerce.
Conduct regular product catalog audits to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with multiple departments to streamline product merchandising processes.
Monitor product performance and optimize listings for search engine visibility and conversion rates (SEO).
Ensure SEO optimization to boost product visibility and improve search rankings.
Gather and organize product details in Excel for website updates, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Simplify technical product details from suppliers for clear and engaging copy.
Perform basic image editing (e.g., Adobe Photoshop) and occasional video editing.
Monitor live products on the website for accuracy and updates.
Handle ad hoc merchandising tasks related to product listings, descriptions, and SEO.
Collaborate with the buyer on pricing updates and product details.
Qualifications : Expert-level proficiency in Excel for data analysis and management (non-negotiable).
Strong copywriting skills, particularly in U.S. e-commerce markets.
Experience with e-commerce platforms, especially BigCommerce.
SEO experience is required to optimize product visibility.
Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a cross-functional team.
Nice-to-Haves : Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or similar image-editing tools.
1-2 years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, data analysis, or copywriting.
Experience managing large product catalogs in a fast-paced environment.
