Position Summary: The Assistant Manager, Procurement Strategy Team, will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive semiconductor procurement strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and technological needs. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of the semiconductor industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to foster relationships with key suppliers to secure the best quality and value for our semiconductor components.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a semiconductor procurement strategy that supports the company's product development and manufacturing goals.Identify and engage with key semiconductor suppliers, fostering strong, long-term partnerships.Conduct market analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, pricing, and technology advancements.Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and manufacturing teams to understand and anticipate semiconductor needs.Manage supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost-effectiveness.Mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.Drive cost reduction initiatives and value engineering projects without compromising quality.Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to semiconductor procurement.Stay informed about geopolitical and economic factors that could impact semiconductor supply chains.Why Join Us? Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in semiconductor procurement within the automotive or electronics industry.In-depth knowledge of the semiconductor market, including key suppliers, technologies, and pricing dynamics.Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.OrganizationMercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited
