Team Lead, PayrollThe Team Lead, Payroll is responsible for coordination, facilitating and assisting with daily activities for Payroll and Payroll related functions.
This role facilitates efficient and effective interdepartmental and intradepartmental communication to aid in successful dispensing and reporting of all processes.
What you'll be doing: Drives continued process improvement and project ownership of system enhancements and vendor relationships.Assists team members with questions, concerns and complaints from employees, external departments and payroll vendors.LATAM payroll processing including but not limited to: Ability to process all LATAM payroll or back up primary payroll processor.Manage the Payroll Specialist in Brazil, who is responsible for process the payroll in house using TOTVS software.
Reporting – ability to prepare, analyze and report on all payroll processes.
Understands and is able to successfully pull reports from payroll systems as needed to satisfy all payroll objectives and audits.Payroll Accounting – prepare, communicate and assist with all payroll journal entries and payroll account reconciliation for month-end to close.Compliance – understand and work to ensure all payroll processes are compliant with any federal, local and state regulations.Audits – coordinate, assist and ensure all payroll audits are completed timely, accurately and all outside vendors have the necessary information for completion of audits.
Assists with training of new team members.Maintains and updates established departmental policies and procedures.Handles difficult employee payroll issues working as the liaison between team members, management and external departments to aid in positive resolutions.Personally handles and provides general and specific administrative support to the department.Assists with all merger and acquisition related responsibilities.Report as Payroll Manager proxy when requested.Other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for: 5-10 years payroll and general office experience required.Payroll systems acumen required.Knowledge of multi country pay in LATAM and employment laws.Knowledge of MS Office with intermediate or advanced knowledge of Excel.Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail.Advanced English skills Bonus Points: Knowledge of payroll system TOTVSAdvanced Spanish skills Education: Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school; or 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
