The Subsidiaries Account Manager (SAM) position is accountable for managing a portfolio of multinational subsidiaries from our Global Network Banking (GNB) segment; responsible for meeting all their banking needs in treasury and trade solutions, markets and corporate portfolio management; leading origination and execution in coordination with product partners locally and abroad.
GNB is the industry leading group responsible for the coverage of Citi's Global clients with presence in each of the 95 countries globally and 20 countries in Latin America where Citi operates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESConsistently and independently exercises judgment in client interactions.Lead a client portfolio with challenging/specialized needs with the objective of becoming the first call to each of them, generating business growth while being mindful of Citi's credit standards, policies, and procedures.Propose and lead strategy, originate pipeline at a cluster level.Drive credit approval process and demonstrate ability to provide balanced approval recommendations identifying risks associated & their mitigants.Support the engagement and introduction of local/regional coverage team.Support and contribute to team development and growth.Identify client needs and recommend solutions to address these needs, such as working capital related optimization, streamlining of local and regional cash management operations, risk management solutions, foreign currency, etc.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Perform annual portfolio assessment, identifying wallet size, share of wallet and opportunities to grow.Perform monthly revenue and drivers monitoring to ensure growth plan.Build and maintain strong and close relationships with country, regional and global GSG teams in order to learn and execute the regional and global strategy for the clients.Build and maintain strong and close relationships with Product, Operations and other partners in the country.Attend training and learning sessions to remain up to date on products, markets and regulatory issues.QUALIFICATIONS4-10 years of professional experience.Proven track record on sales and finance.Bachelor's/University degree in business, finance or similar.MBA or Master's is a plus.Fluent in Spanish and English is a must.This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
