Python Developer - Data Build Tool Experience

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with a strong background in data engineering and analytics. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Data Build Tool (DBT), SQL, and Python. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our data pipelines and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data solutions to support our business objectives.

Responsibilities of the role: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems using Python and DBT. Build and optimize SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation. Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Implement best practices in data engineering, including code review, testing, and documentation. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide ongoing support for existing pipelines. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data infrastructure, including the evaluation and implementation of new tools and technologies. Mentor and guide junior developers in best practices and technical skills. Skills: 5+ years of professional experience in Python development. Proven experience with Data Build Tool (DBT) and its application in data engineering. Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in writing complex queries and optimizing performance. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices. Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
