The Payroll Manager will lead regional LATAM payroll projects and portions of Argentina payroll processing activities across designated legal entities within The Walt Disney Company, ensuring standards for accuracy, timeliness, controls/compliance, and customer service are met or exceeded.The Payroll Manager will be responsible for: Support Senior Manager by leading assigned regional LATAM payroll projects.Support assigned portions of Argentina payroll activities within the centralized Time & Payroll (T&P) Hub.Solve complex problems; take a new perspective using existing solutions.Ensure Payroll Processing functions performed by the payroll vendor meet or exceed the established Payroll Service Level Agreement (SLA), as well as controls and compliance standards.Act as an escalation point on Argentina payroll service issues and support resolution with vendor ensuring timely resolution of payroll-related queries from employees and legal entity stakeholders.Work on issues of diverse scopes where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trendsEnsure in-country employees receive accurate remuneration on the published pay dates, thereby ensuring that the Company meets its contractual obligations.Coordinate and carefully maintain relationships between third party payroll provider and Disney internal partners to ensure a timely and accurate payroll process.Approve monthly, quarterly, annual and other periodicity reports to the management of the Company, local authorities and other recipients.Resolve all assigned payroll related queries from employees and legal entity stakeholders in a professional and timely manner or escalate where appropriate.Resolve legal entity concerns about the payroll process provided by the payroll provider.Oversee required payments to third parties and ensure statutory deadlines are met.Oversee and ensure payroll compliance in accordance with Audit SOX controls and procedures.Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and collaborative day to day business.Troubleshoot data issues at a high level, ensuring improvements and efficiencies.Operational LeadOversee Stock Options/RSU and LTIC payments for local and country transfersSupport defining local technical and functional requirements, as requiredFacilitate payroll involvement with global and local initiatives when appropriateStrategic support for ongoing operationsSupport resolution for supplier service failuresShare best practices/processes/systems across LATAM countriesExperience:Payroll management qualificationSignificant experience managing the payroll process in Argentina for a large multi-national employerStrong knowledge of local and regional payroll practices, regulations and taxesAbility to work independently, act with discretion and privy to confidential informationDemonstrable interest/knowledge of information systemsExperience supporting payroll functions for a retail and/or media business is desirableAbility to drive transformational change and lead change management activitiesProven experience of reviewing and developing payroll procedures and policiesExperience of dealing with expenses and benefits, possessing a good working knowledge of employee and employer payroll-related taxesHigh attention to detail with good analytical and numeracy skillsGood understanding of the financial posting process for payroll processing resultsSkills & Competencies:Ability to communicate in both English and SpanishAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects and processes simultaneouslyCommunicates effectively and builds strong working relationships with other functions (., Human Resources, Finance, Tax, Flexible and able to adapt, evolve and grow with the businessExcellent interpersonal skills - Treats people with respect; is approachable, open & direct; develops effective working relationships with staff at all levelsGood decision making and Project Management skillsStrong focus in customer serviceDiplomatic, discreet, and confidentialDrives resultsChampions change/continuous improvementsExhibits professional excellenceAdditional Information: At Disney, we believe it takes great people to create memorable experiences, products and services our consumers know and love.
