Under the general direction of the Operations Manager:
Facilitates collaborative works planning, implementation, administration, monitoring, and evaluation of works under the direction of the Karlka Nyiyaparli Joint Management Board (JMB).Supports healthy country aspirations by maintaining effective relationships with Traditional Owners and supporting Traditional Owner engagement in joint management planning, prioritization and review processes.Supports and where appropriate, provides leadership, mentoring, training, and supervision of the KNAC/Karlka Nyiyaparli Rangers.Supports the planning and implementation of remote on country field trips and experiences.Plans, facilitates, attends, and contributes to Karlka Nyiyaparli JMB meetings and events.Selection Criteria Applicants should address the following five (5) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than four (4) pages in total. Experience in natural resource management, including land management and planning; with a preference for experience in cultural heritage management, management of conservation reserves, conservation, and recreational site management.Evidence of well-developed interpersonal and oral communication skills with experience in effective liaison with external organisations, including other government agencies, community, and special interest groups.Demonstrated ability and willingness to work with Traditional Owners to deliver cultural land management aspirations through culturally sensitive joint management, cooperation, or collaborative arrangements which foster two-way learning.Experience, knowledge, and skills in leading and managing teams, working effectively as part of a team and independently; and showing a high level of self-motivation.Experience in project development, control and expenditure of allocated work projects and experience in infrastructure development and maintenance.Note: The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current (issue date not older than 6 months) and satisfactory National Police Check and a current Working With Children Check card prior to commencement.
Eligibility: To be eligible for permanent appointment, it is essential to have Australian citizenship, New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency status.
