What you will do Design, build, and maintain messaging products that enhance Indeed's hiring journey and user experience; Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions; Tackle technical debt and ensure system stability by maintaining existing applications and addressing unanticipated requests from external teams; Implement efficient and scalable solutions using Java, Kotlin, or Scala for the backend, with React and Redux on the frontend; Use best practices to write clean, maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers on the team. Must haves +3 years of experience using Java, Kotlin or Scala; Frontend development experience; Experience with modern databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or other SQL/NoSQL databases; Expertise in building RESTful or GraphQL APIs, with a focus on scalability and maintainability; Upper-intermediate English level. Nice to haves Experience with database design and optimization; Familiarity with messaging queue technologies, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ; Strong software development background with hands-on coding experience; Solid understanding of computer science concepts and software design principles; Ability to work effectively in an agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
