The Business Partner will develop key relationships within their business area to build an in-depth understanding of priorities, gaining early insight into changing needs to ensure customers gain appropriate value from IT services, capabilities, and innovations. The role will drive the delivery of innovative business solutions to create maximum competitive advantage.
Primary Responsibilities Work in partnership with IT strategy, capabilities, architecture, portfolio management, and project/program management features to agree on the future shape of proposed solutions and manage business expectations of results. Conduct high-level research on requirements specifications and feasibility studies to advise on the feasibility of alternatives that link technical limitations with operational realities. Create alignment and identify innovative business opportunities with other business partners in the area. Initiate projects with business managers and solution delivery leaders, clearly define scope, and monitor project value delivery versus promised benefits. Ensure IT service plans are established for the customer group and function effectively. Typical Accountabilities Build strong relationships with stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of the short and long-term business direction. Assess and prioritize requirements according to IT strategy. Develop and maintain the customer's chart of accounts, including accurate customer forecasting, demand planning, and effective plan delivery. Develop an impact assessment, identifying risks and issues that may affect current and future units and roles, and create a readiness plan. Develop and maintain performance metrics and proactively identify areas for improvement. Present and gain commitment to IT initiatives, using specialized knowledge to gain commitment to established or new IT services. Comply with the provisions of the Code of Conduct, Policies and Rules relevant to their role and complete all necessary training on the AZ Code of Conduct on time. Ensure compliance by team members and third parties through positively reinforcing the Code of Conduct and all policies and standards relevant to AstraZeneca. Understand the legal and regulatory requirements of the role and provide adequate resources to maintain the quality system and continuously improve its effectiveness.
