The Compliance Officer has the responsibility of managing and maintaining the company's obligations related to prevention, identification and reporting of money laundering and terrorism financing activities as well as local regulatory compliance requirements.
The MLRO will be responsible for designing, implementing, evaluating, and supporting a culture of AML/CTF compliance throughout the organization.
Regular review and development of AML/CTF/sanctions related risk management policies and procedures;Ensuring that ML/TF/sanctions prevention measures are adequately covered by the company's internal control system, furthermore the compliance of ML/TF/sanctions risk control and management procedures with the scale and nature of the company's activities;Conducts company-wide AML/CTF, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring /sanctions screening training and re-training;Ensuring that the employees and managers are provided with updates and reports in respect of ML/TF/sanctions typologies on a regular and case to case basis (when necessary);Escalating identified regulatory and control issues to the employees, managers, and board members;Managing suspicious activity reporting processes, review of the internal STRs, preparation and submission of the external STRs;Conduct investigations and prepare replies to the RFI requests from the partner banks and payment services providers;Performing enterprise-wide ML/TF/sanction risk assessments and configuring ML/TF/sanctions prevention technology solutions and controls for products or services;Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, managing and reporting on compliance throughout the exchange and ensuring compliance of the organization's activities in accordance with the applicable laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.
Report promptly to management observations relating to compliance risk;Apprise the Board and senior management on regulations, rules, standards and developments and provide clarification on any compliance related issues;Ensure sustenance of compliance through the development of a risk-oriented activity plan for compliance assessment and ensuring execution (at least once a year) and reporting the results to Management;Adherence to processes by performing sufficient and representative compliance testing and reporting on the results of the compliance testing to Management;Ensure compliance of supervisory observations made by the local regulator and/or any other directions in both letter and spirit in a time bound and sustainable manner;Lead sensitive interactions and correspondence with local regulators, including responding to calls for information;Interface with various departments to help implement changes and new regulations as mandated by the RBI and for other regulators;Hold responsibility as the Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for the Bank (including interface, intervention, and regulation).Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the banking/electronic money/payment processing sector;Fitness and probity for the purposes of carrying out regulated activities;Experience in Customer Onboarding;The ability and finesse to both work with and challenge the Board and senior management when necessary;ACAMS, ICA, or equivalent certificate in AML/CTF compliance – is an advantage;Higher education – is an advantage;Based in Argentina;Speaks Local Languages.About Bybit: Bybit is one of the world's top three cryptocurrency exchanges by volume with 30 million users.
