Avature is a flexible product and building it requires using a variety of tools with an adaptable approach. Cloud Engineers are fundamental in that process, as they provide the tools and environments used throughout the development cycle. Additionally, as a bridge between our infrastructure and development teams, they are key to enable collaboration towards common goals in our Engineering area. For this particular position, you will focus on designing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining a wide range of environments based on technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, Openstack, AWS, Puppet and much more.
Your challenges and objectives:Provide the framework and templates on which development teams can deploy and run services, coding configuration management and infrastructure recipes.Evolve and maintain environments managed by the Cloud Services organization.Participate in defining standards with a DevOps/SRE mindset and promote them.Design and automate complex operations to scale in distributed datacenters around the world.Enable developers to take ownership of their code and be accountable for its operability.Provide development teams the right tool for each technical challenge and promote best practices in deployments and infrastructure management.Cooperate with operations teams in order to automate common manual tasks.Stay up-to-date on new functionalities, best practices and ways to implement solutions in a variety of open source software stacks.Perform code reviews, technical analysis of existing code, and refactors to improve infrastructure code quality.Provide guidance and support to operations teams, contributing on the maintenance and administration of the platform at the OS level.About you:Advanced Linux administration knowledge.Knowledge of automation: configuration management (e.g. Puppet), observability, Bash.Infrastructure-as-code knowledge (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.Software development skills (e.g. Python) are a plus.Cloud administration and containerization experience with technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenStack are a big plus.Knowledge (or willingness to learn) infrastructure management technologies (Packer, Terraform, LXD, KVM, etc.)What we offer:A fast-paced, energetic, and engaging environment.Flexible hours.Work remotely or come by the office as much as you want.Four salary reviews per year.Option to earn part of your salary in US dollars.Three weeks vacations from the first year.Four weeks paternity leave.OSDE 310 health coverage (family plan).Four days a year to attend events related to professional development.End of year week off (December 26 to 31).Birthdays off.
