ROLE PURPOSE As Buyer, you are the focal point with Vendors on assigned project(s) and you are responsible to implement the Global Supply Chain sourcing strategy. You will lead and coordinate with Engineering and Project Procurement Lead the sourcing of Equipment and Bulk under the supervision of the Procurement Project Manager and of the Delivery Manager.
Key Responsibilities Lead the tendering process: Understand the commercial/contractual requirements of the equipment/service to be purchased and elaborate the bid package together with the relevant disciplines (i.e., Engineering, Asset Integrity, Legal & Contract). Ensure that the vendor qualification process is performed as per Company rules. Issue request for quotation, expedite and collect offers from bidders. Analyze the offers and identify areas for commercial or contractual clarifications. Develop recommendations for the bidder selection based on input from relevant disciplines. Fully document the tendering process. Ensure that the tactical management of the procurement process is conducted appropriately. Lead successful contractual and commercial negotiations with vendors: Set up package strategy in close coordination with the Project Procurement Lead. Perform financial/commercial analysis of current scenarios. Conduct internal contract checkpoints throughout the purchase order execution. Manage any claims with Vendors and develop appropriate settlement plans. Provide adequate purchasing support to specific project needs: Lead and coordinate the sourcing of complex equipment. Lead purchasing activities on small scale projects. JOB REQUIREMENTS University degree or equivalent. Commercial and Technical skills based on experience in Multidiscipline Equipment and Raw Material sourcing. Experience on sourcing and managing contracts for scopes with Intellectual Property would be a plus. Experience 5 years minimum on EPC projects preferably within energy or similar heavy industries. Fluent spoken and written in English.
