The client is a global leader in the development, manufacturing, and worldwide distribution of sustainable fire suppression solutions for almost three decades.
It's headquarters are located in Limassol, Cyprus.
The client belongs to HALMA PLC, a global group based in the United Kingdom, and listed on the London Stock Exchange (FTSE 100).
With a distribution network spanning over 100 countries, the client is seeking to enhance its operations in Colombia (Paraguay & Ecuador) by recruiting a local, experienced, dynamic and highly-motivated Business Development Manager.
Role Description: As a Business Development Manager, you are expected to identify and develop profitable business opportunities to grow client's sales and its distribution channel in Colombia (Paraguay, and Ecuador).
The successful candidate should have an excellent understanding of the fire industry in the area and be able to establish and execute a marketing and sales plan for the achievement of our firm's growth objectives.
The position will involve extensive travelling and effectively presenting the client technology to key industry stakeholders, business influencers and end users that form part of the target audience.
The successful candidate will be trained at Headquarters and will be supported by the expertise of our International Business Development team at our Headquarters on a regular basis.
Job Duties & Responsibilities: Develop and execute an annual business plan identifying key objectives, opportunities and setting sales targets for each country on the basis of priorities and time plan agreed with Headquarters.
Collaborate with channel partners to prospect and acquire new clients, fostering a robust pipeline for sustainable business growth in each country.
Travel extensively across the countries of responsibility to lead engaging sales meetings and presentations aimed at seizing business opportunities.
Cultivate and nurture exceptional client relationships, ensuring satisfaction among partners and stakeholders.
Learn the client technology well and deliver commercial and technical training and support to distributors, consulting engineers, and key accounts, ensuring proficient understanding of our technology.
Actively participate in trade shows and industry conferences to expand networks and develop business opportunities.
Maintain an up-to-date proficiency in our technology and related systems, staying abreast of advancements.
Regularly update Headquarters on meetings, site visits, and business activities through meticulous and detailed report & progress documentation.
Requirements: A bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
An MBA will be an advantage.
A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in sales or business development within the fire suppression and alarm industry.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, sales, marketing, and business development.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Strong business acumen and commercial insight.
Proficiency in negotiation, persuasion, and networking.
Flexibility for traveling within the countries of assignment.
Commitment to professional integrity and ethical business practices.
