Work in a team environment for a historic property and organic farm. Due to the pace of work and department structure, strong communication and leadership skills as well as organization are imperative. This is a fast-pace, hands on position in a manufacturing environment requires diligence and attention to detail.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesDirect Staff on daily operationsEnsure quality standards are being metMonitor and document employee performanceSupport cycle count efforts and maintaining inventory par levels as neededPerform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by managementEssential Job FunctionsDirect staff for product production and providing performance input to Director of ManufacturingPrepare all products of consistent quality following recipe cards and quality standards within acceptable production timesManage supplies and inventory needed for production and notify Production Planner and Purchasing Manager if items are neededMaintain inventory of in-house printed labelsSet production requirements for production staff to ensure adherence to Production Planner's scheduleCollaborate with Director of Manufacturing on constant product improvement and new items for product linesMaintain systems of tracking production samples and inventory of production supplies for responsible areaPrepare product for customer ordersPartners with Production Planner to ensure finished products meet quality and industry standards before they are declared ready for useRequirementsMust be a self-starter and able to work quickly and efficientlyMust be able to lift at least 50lbs and to stand for long periods of timeMaintain cleanliness and organization standards in production areaBasic mathematical skills necessary to understand recipes, measurements and portion sizesKnowledge of aromatherapy, other body care products and techniques in the natural body care environment are a plusAbility to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to complete orders, read requirements and communicate with other employeesA flexible schedule is helpful, as extra hours may be available for promotional events on weekends or other days; Primary work schedule will be set with managerPreferredKnowledge of aromatherapy, other body care products and techniques in the natural body care environment are a plusInterest in organic farming, agriculture, gardening and fresh food a plusThis job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform from time to time.
