Warehouse Manager This role is responsible for all facets of a Warehouse Distribution Center consisting of multiple cells, areas, shifts, and cross-dock logistics.
What you'll do: Manages employees assigned to meet customer and supplier requirements/planning including all support functions, inventory control, packaging, and storage while meeting or exceeding approved financial budget.
Leads the creation of action plans and manages efforts to achieve corporate and facility goals.
Teaches, coaches, and facilitates problem-solving, project management, and application of Company Production System (APS) principles.
Verifies all processes, and standards with safety-related as the priority, are being followed and improved.
Responsible for the development, performance, and continuous improvement of all shifts of assigned cells/areas.
Establishes roles, responsibilities, and expectations for team members and follows up on performance.
Improves capability of team members through coaching, teaching, and appropriate tasking.
Ensures that associates are adequately trained, that work is performed safely and efficiently, and that safety incidents are thoroughly investigated with effective corrective actions.
Works to create a positive work environment supporting all company facilities and personnel.
Ensures communication and feedback flows up, down, and across all levels and shifts/teams as needed.
Ensures adequate resources, including support personnel, are available and that customer standards are maintained.
Monitors daily operations of a unit (work team) and actively assists or provides direction to team members as required utilizing established policies and procedures.
Maintains responsibility for human resource related activities, including employee relations, annual performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Handles employment issues where job action (such as formal discipline) may result, involving management and/or Human Resources as appropriate.
Determines and requests resources as needed.
What is required: Bachelor's Degree required.
Supply Chain Management related field is preferred.
3 to 5 years in a leadership role in production control or warehouse environment Computer skills required, including detailed capability in Microsoft Office Working knowledge of shipping software associated with automotive ERP such as AutoRelease and JD Edwards, TMS and WMS is preferred.
Power BI Working knowledge of a cross-dock operations in a warehouse environment.
Experience with trucking, logistics, and material handling equipment supporting an automotive "OEM" environment.
Background in a "Just in Time" (JIT), lean environment is preferred.
Experience managing union workforce is preferred.
