About the Job We're currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our amazing team. This person will be assigned full-time to a Las Vegas based client specialized in Dermatology. The position includes communicating with patients over the phone, email, and text to coordinate appointments and care. This individual will also be responsible for communicating with dermatologists, office staff and collaborating medical practices. Responsibilities Become a subject matter expert on client's service offering to effectively explain products and services to their patients and business partners Ensure each prospective and current client/patient has a positive experience Field incoming communications (phone, email, text) and convert 50% or more to appointments Respond to all client and patient inquiries within specified service level Ability to prioritize patient needs based on medical urgency Develop and distribute end of day reports on bookings and conversions Able to handle a variety of tasks independently and simultaneously Demonstrate a pleasant disposition with each client/patient interaction Stay highly organized and manage voice and email inboxes effectively Work collaboratively on a team Tasks Assist with high call volume Maintain physicians' schedules – scheduling office visits and procedures via phone and in-office View patient visit notes, identifying problems & diagnosis listed and physician orders Assist in patient registration and financial transactions Educate patients on providers, the practice, and services. May schedule radiology/lab May include recall/follow-up scheduling May include re-scheduling appointments Respond to patient questions and inquiries. Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations Stay flexible and supportive, helping out wherever needed, even if it's not in the defined job description Comfortable with 'gray area' and ability to make the best judgment with whatever information is available. Complete required call sheets at the end of each day Take initiative to learn about the company and grow within the role Job Qualifications and Skill Sets Bachelor's Degree required, medical degree preferred Bilingual English and Spanish HIPAA Certification (highly recommended) 1-3 years experience in USA healthcare industry required Minimum 2 years of experience in a doctor's office Prior dermatology office experience is required Prior scheduling experience required Good understanding of healthcare plans; read and understand medical benefits. Exhibit excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) Expert use of Google Workspace Experience working in Electronic Health Records Experience using Slack and other business administration tools Ability to work at least 8 hours each day, 5 days per week, Pacific Standard Time A positive attitude A pleasant speaking voice when engaging with prospects and customers Experience and willingness to work in a team environment Excellent organization skills Strong work ethic and work from home reliability Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
