Your Mission
As Vice President Operations, you become part of the Vacuum Technique Business Area and will be responsible for the global operations strategy for our Scientific Vacuum Division. Your mission is to create an environment of high-tech manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain solutions, that focuses on our customers' needs as well as on our sustainability goals.
Your Role
As part of our leadership team, you actively shape our customer focus: First in Mind, First in Choice by creating an innovative and agile manufacturing strategy that brings us closer to our customers. You work closely with your stakeholders to build and enable successful teams that collaborate and lift synergies. This includes, among others:
General Managers and their teams in the factories and our sales and service entities;The global engineering, procurement, and process development teams;Our customers, suppliers, and other strategic partners;Your peers in other Divisions.We care about being close to our customers as much as we care about improving our environmental footprint, for which you actively review where we machine and assemble our products to optimize our speed to market, improve our logistics footprint, and drive our customer experience for best-in-class quality and delivery performance.
As a leader of our global organization that currently spans across 5 factories, 23 sales and service entities, and a global customer and supplier base, you actively embrace diverse backgrounds and global perspectives and cultivate diversity by respecting, including, and valuing one another.
Who You Are
You love machine shops as much as we do and get excited about driving manufacturing tolerances down to micrometers. You enjoy shaping a vision for machining, assembly, and supply chain solutions that focus on sustainability and customer experience. You appreciate the importance of data, the potential of digital twins in engineering and manufacturing, and are curious about exploring better ways to do things to increase our quality, output, and lead times.
You lead change and enjoy building, coaching, and leading global teams. Managing a balance sheet and profit and loss statement and preparing compelling business cases for our investment ambitions is well within your comfort zone. Your experience of working in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams contributes to shaping a diverse and inclusive culture focused not only on what we do but especially also about how we do things.
