Vessel Optimisation Analyst at ZeroNorth As Vessel Optimization Analyst, you will contribute to delivering world-class technical expertise as an individual contributor to Vessel Optimization projects and tasks.
You will take a leading role in advising customers and colleagues on vessel hydrodynamics, fuel Models, vessel performance and optimization, where you will play an important role in building a team for success.
Key responsibilities: Assist on performance monitoring and optimization tasks by providing analytical, fact-based decision support.
Create and maintain a theoretical performance models/hydrodynamic models to analyze the impact of weather conditions, hull fouling and other external factors on the propulsion efficiency of the vessels as well as the total energy management of all onboard systems.
Providing the monthly reporting and follow up on performance results, KPI's, fuel tables etc.
Monitor and execute projects efficiently.
Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to the daily tasks forming the department's services.
Your profile: We imagine that you have a degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture but most important is relevant experience.
Most probably you have been working with Vessel Optimization and have in depth knowledge of data capture and modeling, creation of reports and supporting customers and you thrive being the first point of contact when it comes to details on vessel performance and fuel tables.
We expect you to be familiar with Python, R, BI or Tableau, Matlab, Java and so forth, being able to support the team in developing f.e.
fuel models.
A huge advantage would be experience with AI/ML.
