Description: Full vehicle thermal energy management simulations for Conventional and xEVs.
Qualification: Masters in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics or Allied Branches with Specialization in Flow - Thermal Engineering.
Experience: 0 – 3 years.
Job Responsibilities: Functional evaluation of cabin comfort and its energy influence through simulation for Conventional and xEVs.Developing, validating and maintaining simulation models.Design recommendations and countermeasure suggestions and series implementation.Design iterations & Conceptual studies: Schematic changes, components evaluation.Thermal modelling of cabin and its interfaces.Modelling controls for actuators involved in thermal circuits.Deep understanding of communication protocols like LIN, CAN, Ethernet, Flexray. Exposure in handling thermal hardware components (Pump, valve, blower, fan) to HiL systems.Interactions with global counterparts and understanding the requirements.Understanding the test data and supporting the tests.Skills: Good understanding of Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid dynamics, and System simulation modeling.Good understanding and hands-on experience of automotive powertrain cooling system / automotive HVAC system (AC & Heat pump system) and its components.Reasonable understanding of functional controls development & ECU communication protocols.Excellent documentation and oral/written/graphic communication skills.Reliable in meeting timelines and quality, with minimum supervision.Structured problem-solving skills.Skilled in Matlab / Simulink tool.Skilled in 1D flow-thermal simulations, executing co-simulations with GT, Dymola, etc.Electronics background with exposure to SiL packages such as SILVER, CANoe.Fundamental understanding of Electric powertrains.Programming Skills (Python, Java, VBA).Organization: Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited
