Job Summary The Technology Support Engineer provides technical support for customers who are experiencing difficulties with their engineering technology solutions.
This role involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as providing guidance and advice to help prevent future problems.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and have experience in IT or a related field.
Job Responsibilities Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, or chatTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software, hardware, networks, and other technology solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to recurring problemsDocument technical issues and resolutions for future referenceStay up-to-date on new technologies and industry trends to improve support processes and proceduresAssist in the development of training materials and documentation for end-usersJob Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process EngineeringPlant operational experience is an advantage.Familiar with and able to use standard flow sheeting packages.Familiarity with one or more additional KBC software products is a distinct advantage.Ability to analyze complex problems and provide effective solutions for external and internal customersProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant productivity toolsAbility to work well in team environment under supervision and willingness to assist others.Ability to work in a global organization and with different cultures is an advantage.Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders at all levelsFlexible with the ability to prioritize and reprioritize due to conflicting demandsHigh level of self-motivation and initiativeDisplay a high level of professionalism towards colleagues and as an ambassador of the companyRequires 20-30% domestic/ international travel per annum for periods of 1-3 weeks per trip
