Within EYT, the Client Technology Procurement team supports key programs and solutions globally in partnership with our Client Technology and Service Line colleagues to continue to enhance EY's position as a technology driven industry leader.
Technology Procurement is part of the Global Procurement Group focusing on the requirements from the Technology teams and managing circa $1.5B of spend annually.
Role Objective Supporting the Technology Procurement team in the delivery and management of procurement activities may include the following activities:
Manage full lifecycle of contracts for assigned programs of work and key suppliersPro-actively manage contract and license renewalsBuild and foster collaborative working relationships with EYT and other internal business partnersSupporting and leading stakeholders through the Onboarding of Technology Goods and Services end-to-end process.Socialization and facilitation of the Procurement policy and processes, ensuring that the project teams and stakeholders understand the value of the policy and adhere to it accordinglyTimely and frequent submission of management information, including project status and savings reportingSupport for the Technology Procurement team in developing a strategy which adheres to the overall global technology strategy while supporting local engagements as wellFacilitation of any needed market research to identify potential suppliers, ensure competitive pricing and terms, etc.Responsibilities The Technology Procurement Supervising Associate reports into a Client Technology Procurement Leader within the Technology Procurement team and is responsible for the sourcing strategy and execution, customer engagement and experience, and vendor management in line with the Global Procurement Policy and processes.
The role of the Technology Procurement Supervising Associate may include:
Responsibility as a senior individual contributor on a Client Technology Procurement team aligned to one or more service lines as well as client serving business units.Act as an individual contributor and trusted business advisor - managing multiple complex transactions directly or indirectly and working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver successful results.Working closely with risk management business partners to minimize contractual risks to the firm whilst demonstrating year on year improvement in value for money.Partnering with GCO (legal) to lead key negotiations and reporting on the quantitative and brand value delivered.Effectively build a pipeline of deals and develop the appropriate resourcing plans.Supporting improvement in processes, policy, systems, management information and reporting.Successfully leading negotiations for global and regional deals meeting the timelines, scope, and requirements agreed with key stakeholders.Working with senior EYT and Service Line stakeholders to help develop a category strategy which supports the overall global technology strategy.Skills and attributes for success Strong experience with senior stakeholder management with the ability to collaboratively co-develop strategies and set and manage expectations.Heavy experience with negotiating contracts related to software licensing & rationalization, cloud-based solutions and professional servicesHeavy experience with negotiating contracts globally and regionally.Experience of managing complex service agreements both from the commercial and service delivery sideExperience of working in a Sourcing/Procurement in a complex and global environmentExperience working in an IT role as part of delivering technology solutions is a plusStrong influencing and networking skills as the organization relies on working in cross functional teams across bordersGood knowledge of the IT vendors and new technologies is important to successfully work with the EYT teamsStrong communication skills required; must have the ability communicate in English effectively, transparently, and timely across multiple mediums (email, voice, IM, etc) in a global environmentThe ability to independently manage and prioritize workloadStrong organizational skillsDemonstrate a positive attitude and have an appetite for changeProvide high level of Exceptional Client ServiceEducation Degree from accredited university or equivalent in the areas of Finance, Business, Supply ChainCPM (US), CIPS (UK) or similar Procurement certification is welcomed but not essentialOther requirements Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills in business English and SpanishExperience working in a truly global, culturally diverse organizationAdvanced knowledge of Project, PowerPoint, and ExcelWhat we look for We are looking for a high energy individual who embraces change to ensure we can continue to deliver world-class Supply Chain Service programs in an ever-changing environment.
