We are looking for a highly skilled and service-minded Technical Sales and Support Engineer to serve the LATAM region to strengthen our presence. We are looking for individuals with superior technical understanding in our industry, combined with good communication skills. Competence and ability to work closely with our customers, whilst supporting our sales teams to make sure the technical solutions proposed meet their requirements.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is a technology-savvy individual with a deep understanding of the Video Contribution (80%) & Distribution (20%) business. You will have a positive service-minded attitude, an eagerness to work with a highly skilled and experienced team. Your role will be a mix of engaging and interpreting our customer's needs to architect technical solutions to meet their objectives and provide technical support to our customers in the LATAM region.
Main responsibilities
- Design technical solutions in accordance with customer's technical, commercial and operational needs.
- Provide technical pre-sales support to the Appear sales team, our customers and partners.
- Provide technical responses to bids and RFPs/RFIs.
- Attend remote and on-site customer meetings and PoCs (Proof of Concepts) and customer demonstrations.
- Provide troubleshooting, problem replication and resolutions of Appear's product solutions in the LATAM region.
- Provide on-site and/or remote commissioning.
Qualifications
- Relevant higher education, to a minimum BSc.
- 2+ years of proven work experience as pre-sales / technical sales / support engineer.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand technical and complex video delivery challenges.
- In-depth understanding of the following topics:
- Digital video contribution (Uncompressed Video, Production workflows, 2110, NMOS, JPEG-XS, PTP, NDI among other related technologies).
- Digital video distribution (SRT, RF Modulation, Mux, Scrambling, IP-over-TS, OTT).
- Network IP technologies, networks and protocols.
- Other IT skills (knowledge of: Linux OS, Databases, Script Languages).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Spanish; Portuguese language is an advantage.
- Shows initiative and proactivity.
