About the role: Based at Norwest/ Bella Vista NSW, this is a pivotal role in which you will hold technical and quality accountabilities for a number of plants. Your responsibilities will include production quality and compliance, monitoring, developing, and optimising the technical performance and quality of concrete and quarry products in your area for the benefit of both the customer and company.
Detailed responsibilities include: Managing concrete mix performance with changing sources and quality of raw materials.Aggregate production quality and compliance.Liaising with laboratories to ensure correct mixes are tested and in sufficient numbers.Selling our technical capability to customers while correctly and ethically representing our products.Negotiating project exceptions.Developing and training Technical Supervisors.Maintaining company compliance and quality standards in the face of commercial pressures.Ensuring concrete and constituent materials are maintained to the requirements specified by the relevant Australian Standards and all other relevant specifying parties.Developing professional working relationships with key customers to help secure work based on Holcim's ability to provide superior technical advice and cost-effective project solutions.Recommending opportunities to improve service, product quality, and reduce production costs.Providing timely and accurate technical support and direction to internal and external customers.Product Research and Development.About you: Engineering or Science Degree or Diploma and/or extensive industry experience.Ideally, you have a minimum of five years of technical experience in aggregates, civil construction, concrete, or similar industries.Sound technical ability, a proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a dedication to providing the highest standards of production, quality, and safety.You should also be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Word and Excel or their Google equivalents – display excellent time management and organisational skills, strong communication skills, and a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.This is a superb opportunity to develop your career within our world-leading business.
