Job Overview Provide parts information support to all Mercedes-Benz dealers to ensure that dealers can provide the highest level of service to the clients. Maximize Client CSI, reduce the incidents of buy-backs and resolve dealer parts issues by providing timely and accurate information on the technical application and order status of Mercedes-Benz parts.
Responsibilities Ensures all retail backorders are adequately addressed with supplier orders and reconciled with Dealer Assistance Center.Leverage multiple systems including SAP Paragon, JDA and internal Daimler systems to effectively manage and resolve critical cases.Leverage Auto-CAD software to help find technical alternatives and reduce critical backorders.Prioritize backordered issues and escalate to vendors for resolution.Communicate to management, field and dealers status of issues.Identify and resolve exceptions with the supply chain (retailer data entry errors, late orders, parts substitutions, etc.).Resolve urgent orders to reduce and assure dealer/client satisfaction and avoid delay.Proactively identify potential constrained parts and escalate early to help remedy the issue in a timely manner.Ascertain availability of parts and provide accurate and reliable estimates of arrival times based on research in Paragon/SCM, and Accessory Product Management.Monitor ETA database, create cases, release parts, respond to all dealer escalations and inquiries.Utilize machine learning dashboard to address future critical backorders.Initiate contacts with SSPs at the PDCs to confirm stock, accuracy, expedite specific shipments and ascertain ship status.Track progress of parts orders from shipment to delivery by obtaining information from Paragon and Internet according to shipping method.Provide SCM, Parts Technical, and Product Management with information on new items to be added to inventory, undocumented changes in parts applications and problems with MB accessories.Contribute, compile and maintain the departmental database of technical alternatives parts to help resolve future backorders.Complete special assignments as assigned by Supervisor or Department Manager in time allotted.Assist in the training and development of newly hired staff.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (accredited school) or equivalent work experience with emphasis in:
Supply Chain ManagementBusiness AdministrationTechnical Management-LogisticsTransportation ManagementKnowledge (necessary to perform proficiently in this job) Automotive-Retail: Proficient Knowledge of retail processes and procedures, with emphasis in, New and Pre-owned sales, accessories service and parts.Business – General: Proficient Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization.Finance: General Knowledge and understanding of the implications of key financial indicators and controls and assessing impact of financial information.Integrated Supply Chain Management (ISCM): Comprehensive Knowledge of the principles and methodology for a process-orientated, integrated approach to procuring, producing, and delivering products and services to customers.Parts and Accessories: Comprehensive Knowledge of parts and accessories businesses, marketing strategies and other business practices.Processing: General Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques in order to achieve maximum efficiency.Purchasing: Proficient Knowledge of acquisition techniques that minimize costs for products or services.Vendor Management: Comprehensive Knowledge of Agency/Vendor management and budget management.EEO Statement Mercedes-Benz USA is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that appreciates and leverages the diversity of our team.
