What will you be doing? As an Electrical and Automation Technical Advisor, you will provide support to the customer's operation and maintenance to achieve uninterrupted operations of the plant. You will prepare reports, plans, and budgets as agreed with the Agreement Manager on a weekly/monthly basis. In case of failure of the supplied equipment, you will assist the customer in troubleshooting and repairing in a consultative manner.
As an Electrical and Automation Technical Advisor, you will focus on these responsibilities: Identify together with the customer and actively seek improvement or potential risk areas regarding operational reliability and availability, especially in the areas of electrical systems, automation, instrumentation, and PLCs.Report to the Agreement Manager if the customer is neglecting the QEHS policy, refuses or delays scheduled maintenance and/or improvements for operational reliability and availability.Support the customer's operation and maintenance to achieve uninterrupted operations of the plant.Keep internal logbooks up to date, record system parameters, and update fluid analysis data, running, standby, planned and unplanned maintenance hours in the CM database monthly.Support the customer in a consultative manner in planning, organizing, and executing all planned and unplanned maintenance of the Plant, with a particular focus on electrical and automation systems.Support the customer in a consultative manner in performing maintenance of all supplied equipment using approved working methods and proper tools, with a particular focus on electrical and automation systems.Prepare reports, plans, and budgets as agreed with the Agreement Manager on a weekly/monthly basis.In case of failure of the supplied equipment, assist the customer in troubleshooting and repairing, with a particular focus on electrical and automation systems.Minimum once per month, keep a claim status report meeting with the customer, unless more frequent meetings are required by the contract.Communicate effectively with the plant team relative to the condition of the plant equipment and performance, with a particular focus on electrical and automation systems.Support on contracts O&M procedures and routines, and training plant personnel, with a particular focus on electrical and automation systems.The ideal candidate has the following: General Skills: Cost awareness & effectivenessQuality, environmental, health and safety skillsWorkplace ICT equipment & applications skillsFluent English and Spanish levelProfessional Skills: Contract Planning Operations ManagementPower Dispatch ManagementFuel and lube oil managementContract knowledgeAuxiliary system knowledgeKnowledge of electrical systems, automation, instrumentation, and PLCsScheduled maintenanceElectrical knowledgeEngine control system knowledgeOperator's station knowledgeTroubleshooting, electrical and automationLeading people: Team buildingLeading people: CommunicationDelivering results: Problem solving and decision makingAt Wärtsilä we value, respect and embrace all our differences, and are committed to diversity, inclusion and equal employment opportunities; everyone can be their true self and succeed based on their job-relevant merits and abilities.
