Purpose of the Position: Under general supervision this position is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of an IT infrastructure, which includes software, hardware, and network communications, in support of the business functions of MBUSI (SUV/GSP) in close cooperation with or through services provided by MBUSI/ IT. Provide coordination between the various departments of MBUSI/ MBUSA/ GSP / datacenter and Daimler.
Essential Functions: Support expert management of native systems including stable operations, issues troubleshooting and proactive development to further drive productivity and efficiency.Drive expert hardware management for operations to ensure the most stable platform and support in the event of issues arising.Develop proactive ways to ensure cutting edge technology implementation towards business and process automation.Design, implement and support progressive data and system resources to improve information flow in the department, as well as productivity and efficiency gains.Build and implement business processes, rooted in IT design thinking and agile methods, that formalize methods for efficient and collaborative work streams.Support and manage business metrics, including Purchase Orders and Procurement to ensure stable operations.Support with Service Level Agreements (SLA's) for IT services rendered and costed to SUV/GSP cost center.Employ project management techniques to design, plan and execute business improvement initiatives for the broader department, but rooted in IT design and architecture.Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, I.T. or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Entry Level: Co-op/internship and/or up to 2 years of relevant professional experience.
Experienced Level: A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Senior Level: A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc: Availability to resolve critical IT related problems or to meet critical deadlines.Ability to work well with team members, internal and external customers, and outside vendors.Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly, possess excellent organizational skills and capable to accept change.Work independently and make decisions that require initiative and judgement in order to effectively execute various work assignments.Ability to create and generate custom queries and reports based on business needs.Ability to guide analysis and discussion of issues to resolve conflicts and drive collaboration across the organization.Ability to support phase in service parts for past and current products, have a working knowledge of relational databases and best practices.Working knowledge of Outlook applications.Excellent research, analytical and troubleshooting skills.Proficiency in the use of PC and network based system software such as Windows XP, Microsoft Office including MS Access, MS Project.Project planning and project management skills.Preferred Skills: Certified Microsoft Net Developer.MPS experience.Certified Oracle DBA.SAP Support/ Development.Written and verbal German language skills is a plus.Background in automotive industry.Experience in database design and SQL Language (+other programming languages).
