JOB OVERVIEW Requires the supervision of up to 10+ full-time MB and 3rd party employees. Responsible for supervising external vendors and providing direction to 3rd party leads and onsite manager.
Responsibilities include adhering to the administration of Human Resources policies and procedures by interviewing; hiring recommendations; training requirements; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating, appraising and developing team/individual plans for technical and professional skills; recommending rewards and administering disciplinary actions (addressing complaints, resolving problems, recommending terminations).
Ensure that vehicles are processed and shipped timely by managing the performance of the Forepersons/ 3PL personnel assigned to the responsibilities while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Communicate with our colleagues at the Factory, Corporate, Port, transport companies and DMY security to ensure seamless transition from Plant to Vance Marshalling Yard to DMY.
Utilize computer related systems for all aspects of the job.
Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 standards.
Participate in departmental goal achievements and projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible to oversee and manage the Vance Marshalling Yard movement of vehicles prior to buy-off from the plant through wholesale and distribution to both domestic and export operations. The Yard consists of two different locations Plant Marshalling Yard (PMY) and Domestic Marshalling Yard (DMY) and movement of vehicles is done by driving, rail and truck The position directs a team of FTE and 3rd party employees (100+) each day in multiple locations to ensure daily, weekly and monthly goals set are completed. This position must be able to:

• Assess and determine the right course of action to ensure continuity of the work areas with suggestions and recommendations as to the operational aspects of running the yard.
• Responsible for hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, and training opportunities necessary to ensure the efficient operations of the yard.
• Liaise daily with Factory and 3PL to efficiently plan first point of rest space is available for vehicle inventory arriving. 
• Communicate daily with MBUSI/MBUSA/3PL so that there is a seamless transition from Plant to the Marshalling Yard/DMY and insure that it is done in accordance with the applicable processes of MBUSI/MBUSA.
• Develop and maintain production reports and vehicle pull lists using Microsoft Products/VoisV systems to ensure the production plan is run efficiently.
• Must monitor the daily execution of production ensuring all metrics are maintained and production data is analyzed to assess individual and team performance. 
• Ensure productivity, accuracy, quality, and efficiency targets are met daily by the department. 
• Identify and recommend to management necessary resources needed.
• Provide daily production plan including temporary support from third party vendors as needed and responsible to hold daily start up meetings with production staff including 3PL
• This position is responsible to develop internal staff and provide guidance to the 3PL so that it follows MB guidelines for quality yard management. This includes but not limited to:

o Coach current best practices and develop cross training plans for department workforce ensuring all production needs are met daily and for the future. 

• Responsible for adhering to the administration of Human Resources policies and procedures pertaining to – interviewing, hiring recommendations, training requirements, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating and developing team / individual plans for technical and professional skills, recommending rewards and administering disciplinary actions (addressing complaints, resolving problems, recommending terminations). 
• Responsible for identifying and communicating to Vance Marshalling Yard management any Career Development and professional training needs for direct reports. 
• Ensure compliance of ISO9001 standards.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (accredited school)
• Must have 5-7 years of equivalent work experience with emphasis in:

Business Administration 
Business Management
Communication 
Project Management
Process Improvement
Logistics

• Business – General - Proficient Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization. Proficient in analytical, problem solving and organization skills.
• Automotive-Technical - Proficient knowledge of automotive technical information systems and repair/diagnostic procedures
• Business Management - General Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, human resource management and efficiency and process methods.
• Processing - General Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques in order to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Quality Assurance - General Knowledge of accounting standards, statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability
Additional Information:  Must be able to work flexible hours/work schedule. 
Requires valid driver's license
Work Weekends and Holidays when required.
