Summer Internship Experience
INTERN PROGRAM:
The Danone North America (DNA) Quality team is responsible for ensuring products meet food safety standards and customer expectations by testing and inspecting products at various stages of production, monitoring ingredients, storage conditions, processing methods, and packaging to prevent potential contaminations and identify any defects before they reach consumers to guarantee the safety and consistency of finished products. The intern program aims to provide individuals with the opportunity to gain valuable quality control experience through real-world assignments, culminating in a presentation of project results to the Leadership Team.
LOCATION:
West Jordan, UT, USA
10-week program immersed in the West Jordan, UT Quality Department.
Actively engage the current workforce, through job shadowing, as an example, to effectively achieve project and department goals.
The Quality Intern may assist in a number or project support roles in the Quality department. Specific project responsibilities will be identified 30-60 days prior to the start of the internship, based on business need and intern interest.
Help advance quality and food safety in the manufacturing plant by creating a knowledge database
Researching novel technology to eliminate unwanted microorganisms in the production environment
Assist with identification and implementation of quality improvement opportunities
It is preferred that the candidate be a JUNIOR or SENIOR, pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree, and have completed courses in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Food Processing, or a related major.
