ABOUT YOUR ROLE While Descartes achieved major milestones since its inception (one of the largest Series B in the InsurTech Space, international footprint…), a taskforce was set up to support its future development.
You would join the Strategy & New Business Team, and report to the Strategy Project Manager – New Business, to identify additional growth drivers and help set them up.
This role is a great opportunity to explore nearly all facets of a Tech start-up at the forefront of innovation in insurance.
KEY MISSIONS Support the Strategy & New Business team in launching the new Business Lines identified by senior management, from product market study to operational launch; Assist the Strategy Project Manager – New Business in performing in-depth analyses (market, competition, distribution, operations…); Contribute to the production of project documentation (business plan, product approval documentation, interview minutes…); Prepare studies to support internal decision-making (providers benchmark…); Cooperate with various Descartes teams to ensure successful product launch; Support the Strategy & New Business team in building new partnerships to fuel Descartes Group's growth, working closely with other departments; Prepare interactions with different internal & external stakeholders (Head of Strategy & New Business, founders, (re)insurance companies, experts…); Assist in miscellaneous tasks as requested by the Strategy Project Manager – New Business.
ABOUT YOU EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Completed a master's degree from a Business or Engineering school; 0-1 years' experience (internships or/and apprentice) in Consulting or/and Strategy or/and Finance.
SKILLS Proficiency in MS office (Powerpoint, Excel); Eye for quality, autonomous and attention to detail; Excellent communication (written and verbal); Professional English (written, spoken).
MINDSET Curiosity, and eagerness to learn more about the insurance industry and strategy; Willingness to improve and openness to feedback; Results oriented, high energy, with the ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment; Excellent team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and value of diversity, committed to the organization's mission.
