Position Summary Atlanta United is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This individual will report to the Accounting Manager and assist in the day-to-day and month-end accounting for Atlanta United. Additionally, s/he will assist in the completion of the Company's annual audits, Major League Soccer reporting and on various special projects. S/he will provide strategic support to the finance team and management including process documentation, controls implementation, treasury management and other requested projects.
Role and Responsibilities Assist in the month-end close process including preparing journal entries, analyses, intercompany tie-outs, and account reconciliations;Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts in compliance with GAAP;Track and reconcile capital expenditures;Manage check depositing and cash requests;Ownership of sponsorship invoicing and revenue tracking;Effectively communicate issues and errors to departments and management;Perform ad-hoc internal reporting and analysis.Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceSolid understanding of GAAPCPA or CPA candidate preferred1-2 years of full cycle accounting experience preferredGreat Plains, Concur and Vena experience a plusRequired Skills Use of good judgment, professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative styleDemonstrate high integrity, tact, and a positive attitudeStrong communication, time management and organizational skillsStrong Excel skills and Windows-based finance system knowledgeProven ability to concurrently perform multiple assignments and manage projects on strict deadlinesMust be able to maintain confidential informationSalary and Benefits $60k-$65k Annual SalaryEligible for Season tickets to Atlanta UnitedOccasional access to additional third-party events and concertsCompetitive benefits + 401k packageFlexible schedule including work from home opportunitiesThree weeks of vacation plus additional company and flex holidaysAnd more!
