Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated specialist to help accelerate our growing Education as part of the World-Wide Public-Sector practice. As a Technical Business Developer within AWS, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers. Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the creation of the long-term technical vision and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures and strategies, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies, as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform; and being a subject matter expert on the vertical as it relates to customer applications and services.
As a Technical Business Developer on our team, you will provide exceptional thought leadership to our customers while working with a world class sales technical and business development team. You will lead efforts to create, capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS community. You will gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture.

Education industryStrategic – Creation of Technical Account planning and working backwards from Customer's needsTechnical presentation experience – Ideation, White board, small and large group presentationsTechnical skills – Web Services development/deployment experience, cloud computingOperational – Web services operations, management, and securityAWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilitiesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 10+ Years of experience in working and deploying solutions for customer in Education
- 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 10+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Experience in building Go-To-Market strategies and Technical Accounting Plans
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 8+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese
Position available in Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Brazil. Around 25% of travel is required for this role.
