TITLE: Sr. Manager – Quality, LATAM Manufacturing/Operations
REPORTS TO: Directly to VP – LATAM SC Operations; dotted line to Director – Global Quality
LOCATION: This position is open in LATAM region.
Job Function The Sr. Manager of Quality leads, coordinates and performs activities associated with quality management systems and quality assurance as it relates to new product development, legacy products, process control, quality continuous improvement, incoming supplier quality, and all strategic processes and programs related to manufacturing operations and sites. This role is to direct the development and implementation of operational quality management system, quality metrics, KPIs and cost reduction efforts that drive overall process improvements and COF initiatives.
Key Responsibilities For This Position Will Include The Following Support all quality activities and initiatives related to new product development and legacy productsLead and support the implementation of the QMS system in all regional manufacturing sitesLead/Support the electronic database (HQMS) implementation with current quality management systemImplement and support quality policies, procedures, and quality system as required for manufacturingDrive, implement and support the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and coordination of prototype, pre-launch, and launch part qualification runs with all regional manufacturingReview, support and approve Quality Control Plans, process flow diagrams, Process Failure Modes Effects and Analysis (PFMEA), Gage R&R'sImplement and Drive all standardized quality KPIs and metrics on Material Non-conformances, PPAP performance, DPPM, COF, etc. across manufacturing sites.Maintain and communicate weekly/monthly Quality KPIs report for regional manufacturingDrive plants on resolving defective material issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsProvide strong leadership and guidance to all manufacturing site Quality personnelSupport the customer complaint process and metrics (customer & consumer)Support and drive measurement techniques and statistical data analysis techniquesWork with all manufacturing sites on any Quality related issues as neededConduct and support site audits, and report findings to determine proper corrective and preventive actions.Assist with technical and field support for customers and sales teamsImplement/Lead/Support the quality management system as a QMS PAC leader part of the PEAK initiativeJob Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical or science discipline7+ years of operations/manufacturing experience preferredHands on experience with PEAK, TPM, Lean and Six Sigma preferredManagement experience and the proven ability to work in a matrix organization requiredThorough knowledge of quality methods and QMS systems (statistics, reliability, sampling and auditing)ISO/QS/TS quality system working knowledge and auditing experience preferredASQ certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Quality Engineer (CQE) or Quality Manager (CQM) is preferredAn experienced background in various types of manufacturing.
