Your New Role The Analyst, Subscriber Forecasting will play a crucial role in our streaming division by developing and maintaining sophisticated forecast models to drive strategic decision-making. This position requires a highly analytical individual with a strong background in modeling for complex subscription businesses and a passion for media and entertainment. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and actionable forecasts that support our business goals.
Your role accountabilities
• Develop and maintain projections for key performance indicators (KPIs) such as subscriber trends, revenue, and marketing efficiency metrics.
• Create detailed models to segment subscriber trends across critical variables like territory, provider, plan length, product tier and special offers.
• Incorporate retention curves and revenue profile specific to each sub-segment to generate accurate projections of subscribers, revenue, ARPU and churn.
• Collaborate with data science, finance, and marketing teams to validate inputs and requirements.
• Analyze historical data and market trends to improve the accuracy of forecast models.
• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate the impact of different business strategies and support decision making.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
• Create presentations to summarize the key conclusions stemming from the detailed modeling exercises.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in forecasting and data analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, statistics, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a role focused on data analysis and forecasting with direct responsibility for building complex models.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate conclusions into actionable recommendations.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
• Understanding of data science concepts and Python a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
• Knowledge of the media and entertainment industry.
