Job Summary: We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team with a specific focus on Latin American operations. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of working knowledge of accounting, invoicing, and tax frameworks in Latin American countries, especially Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Mexico. They will assist in managing the financial processes, ensure compliance with GAAP, and support the company's financial objectives.
Responsibilities: Assist in managing the month-end and year-end close process related to Latin American operationsProvide insight and controls ensuring proper tax treatment and compliance with local lawsCollaborate with Operations and Sales team members to assist in pricing and profitability aimed at achieving company goals and objectivesRecord all day-to-day financial transactions and reporting related to Latin America in a timely mannerQualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, CPA preferred7+ years of experience, preferably with an international manufacturing companyExtensive experience with taxes and invoicing procedures related to LATAM countriesWorking knowledge of GAAPExperience handling high-volume transactionsProven experience working with ERP systems and experience with Microsoft D365 Business Central a plusStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel applicationsSpanish and English language proficiency is requiredHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsAdvanced problem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesOkeanos Group, LLC, its subsidiaries, joint ventures, and partners are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
