Overview: The Laudato Si' Movement is seeking a volunteer to support the Special Projects Team by researching and organizing institutional data globally.
This role is essential for advancing our mission of fostering global ecological conversion through the support to the Laudato Si' Action Platform, an initiative of the Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, inspired by Pope Francis' 2015 encyclical, Laudato Si': On Care for Our Common Home. The volunteer will play a vital part in gathering key information about institutions, their representatives, and relevant contacts, and compiling it into a structured and accessible format.
Responsibilities: Conduct research to identify institutions around the world, including their locations and key representatives. Organize and document all findings in a clear, structured spreadsheet. Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and relevance. Update the spreadsheet regularly and share progress with the Special Projects Team. Skills & Qualities Desired: Proficiency in English and Spanish.
It is desirable to have a good command of Italian, Portuguese, and French to research effectively across regions. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Comfortable working with Google Sheets and other collaborative tools. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience in data research. Commitment: Approximately 5 hours per week for 3 months, including check-ins with the team as needed to coordinate tasks. Remote role, working from home; flexible schedule. Environment: As a volunteer, you will gain experience in global research and contribute to a meaningful cause, developing skills in data organization and international collaboration.
This is a voluntary position without financial compensation.
However, the Laudato Si' Movement is committed to providing you with the necessary support to complete the assigned tasks.
At the end of the volunteer period, a certificate of participation will be issued.
