Dow LAA Purchasing has an exciting opportunity for a LAA Sourcing Specialist for Packaging, located in Buenos Aires or Bahia Blanca, Argentina.

About you and this role - What you would do in this role The Sourcing Specialist will support Packaging within the Raw Materials, Packaging & External Manufacturing (RMPEM) sourcing team, which manages the sourcing needs for the sites located in Argentina, Colombia, and México. The main purpose of the Sourcing Specialist role is creating value by providing appropriate input into the development and implementation of sourcing strategies and commercial agreements; and negotiating assigned raw materials for execution as purchase orders. This position is a business team member responsible for various sourcing activities pertaining to running the business and contract management, as well as providing support for the Supply Manager in implementing and executing strategy and agreements.

Responsibilities: Lead and assist the execution of Sourcing Projects using the Strategic Sourcing Process. Implement commercial agreements for products and services according to the business needs, to maximize the business profitability. Implement a Risk Management plan in order to avoid plant disruption across LAA. Collect and utilize market intelligence to shape purchases/strategic plans. Establish a strong communication channel with businesses to guarantee the appropriate alignment between purchasing and business strategy. Utilize available Sourcing tools (e.g. e-RFI, e-RFQ, e-Auctions) to the fullest capability, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Purchasing process. Execute contractual obligations within the delegated scope of responsibility and legal authority. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree is required (no course preference). Language proficiency: Advanced Spanish, English, and Portuguese as a plus. 5 years of professional experience. Working knowledge of purchasing fundamentals and procurement work processes and policies. Ability to focus on value delivery and maintaining sustainable competitive advantages. Financial and market analysis skills, and effectively manipulate and analyze data. Strong data analysis skills to effectively identify value opportunities. The ability to work across cultures and geographies. Preferred Skills: Strategic Thinking. Power of Negotiation. Financial acumen. Leadership to coordinate stakeholder relationships.
