About You We are rapidly expanding and looking to hire talented and ambitious quality engineering talent in Buenos Aires. As a member of the team, you will participate in automating the validation processes of a micro-service oriented eCommerce B2B platform. We love entrepreneurial spirit and those who bring experience from established organizations. You are a highly technical, hands-on software developer in test (SDET) with a passion for producing maintainable and robust code. You will design and maintain different kinds of automation test frameworks that will validate our critical services. Our Agile teams, consisting of developers, fellow Quality Engineers, designers, managers and stakeholders, are distributed among several countries so clear communication is a must.
What you'll do and how you'll have an impact Represent the interests of users and customers through the relentless pursuit of a quality productDocument issues and bugs, moving each bug relentlessly through its entire life cycleDesign and maintain automation test frameworksDesign and create functional E2E testsDesign and create performance tests for both backend micro-services and UIsDesign and create API and E2E tests to be executed during Continuous Development (CD) phaseConfigure and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) test pipelinesAutomate mundane tasks and processes to promote QE team efficiency and improve developer experience running their automated testsCollaborate with developers, fellow Quality Engineers, product managers, partners and consultants to deliver highest quality with each releaseConsistently raise the bar of what exceptional quality looks like by researching and promoting improved Quality practices for the teamWhat we're looking for 2-4 years of experience with automation testingBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical fieldStrong Functional and Object Oriented programming (OOP) fundamentalsKnowledge in functional and non-functional testingProficiency in K6 for performance/load testingExperience in RestAssured and Java for API testingFamiliarity with DockerKnowledge of CI pipeline tools like Jenkins and GitHub ActionsExperience with incident management tools like JIRAExperience with version control systems like GitHubFamiliarity with Agile practices and Scrum workflowAt AppDirect, we believe that innovation thrives in an environment that houses diversity of excellence, experience and thought.
