The Role and Team
At Medallia, we're committed to innovation and excellence. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Software Test Engineer to join our team and ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards.
The Software Test Engineer plays a key role in our development process, working with emerging technologies alongside developers and product managers and fellow Test Engineers to create, maintain, and execute end-to-end and cross-product integration tests through automation. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive test strategies, identifying bugs, and driving continuous improvement in our testing practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end and cross-product integration tests.
- Develop and maintain web and mobile test automation.
- Conduct API test automation to ensure reliable and secure API functionality.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and ensure high-quality releases.
- Track and manage tasks and defects using Jira.
- Build and maintain tools to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience in test automation
- Demonstrated experience in Java
- Demonstrated experience with Web and Mobile test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Webdriver IO and Appium
- Experience in API test automation and familiarity with relevant tools
- Demonstrated understanding of the GIT development process and Jenkins build automation
- Demonstrated experience with IDEs such as IntelliJ or similar tools
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of Agile development practices including working effectively within an Agile team
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining tools that support the testing process
- Proficiency in English, both written and oral
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Typescript and Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communications and teamwork abilities
- Strong software Quality Engineering fundamentals
