Takes direct responsibility for the delivery of small to mid-sized research and development projects that generate new products, processes and understanding. May be responsible for the provision of techniques to support research projects. Actively works to translate technical understanding into commercial value. Expert in field of science. Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality, high impact science with a depth of understanding.
Job purpose We are looking for a candidate with professional catalyst knowledge, excellent communication and team working skills. The Senior Scientist will focus on the catalyst development for Gasoline/CNG application. In order to do so, the candidate will be working in collaboration with our Application Engineers and Commercial team to gather requirements from our customers. By transferring them into proper development targets, the candidate needs to define the project scope and be able to independently lead the actual development work, actively working closely with the global R&D team. Additionally, the candidate will conduct fundamental studies for deep understanding and poisoning studies. The candidate will also collaborate with the NPI team and PcD team to transfer new formulations to mass production.Principal accountabilities Independently lead product development projects.Prepare project plans and timelines to meet requirements.Design formulations, collect experimental and test data to meet project objectives.Track project and test progress to ensure development work is conducted on time.Prepare samples for performance evaluation and support sample preparation as required.Document experiment records, reports, presentations, and sample information.Follow company process standards for product development and update projects in systems on time.Make interpretative judgments of multiple and complex results; prepare and present reports internally and externally.Identify and develop new technology areas to fit project requirements.Provide key technical support to customers.Interact with other experts in the field.Follow company safety rules and Life Saving Policy.Adhere to EHS requirements, including but not limited to near miss reports, PPE wearing, raw material safety evaluation, etc.Comply with company general policies.Qualifications PhD in catalysis chemistry, chemical engineering, or colloid chemistry.3+ years of working experience in the catalyst industry.Experience in catalyst research and development.Inorganic material research experience.Good communication skills – verbal and written in English.Strong experiment design and project management skills.Good understanding of chemical analysis and data analysis capability.Proficient in using office software, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong team working capability.Skills in chemistry-related literature searching and summarization.Engagement and performance-oriented.How to apply:
