We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Release Manager to oversee the end-to-end release management process for our software development projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of release management principles, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex release cycles in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the release management process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating software releases across multiple projects and teams.Develop and implement release management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality software delivery.Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and product management teams to define and manage release timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.Oversee the preparation and execution of release activities, including code freeze, build, deployment, and post-release validation.Ensure effective risk management by identifying potential release risks and developing mitigation strategies.Establish and maintain release documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and rollback procedures.Monitor and report on release progress, status, and metrics to stakeholders and executive management.Continuously improve release processes by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.Manage and mentor a team of release engineers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.Stay current with industry trends and advancements in release management tools and technologies.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.10+ years of experience in release management, software development, or a related field.Proven experience managing complex software release cycles in an Agile/Scrum environment.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.Proficiency with release management tools such as Jenkins, Git, JIRA, and Azure DevOps.Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Agile) are a plus.Why work for Launchpad?100% remotePeople first cultureExcellent compensation in US DollarsHardware setup for working from homeWork with global teams and prominent brands based in North America, Europe, and AsiaTraining allowancesPersonal time off (PTO) for vacations, study leave, personal time, etc....and more!LocationBuenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina
