We are seeking a Senior Regulatory Analyst based in Argentina! This exciting role is perfect for a proactive, commercially-minded lawyer with a passion for the payments industry and experience working with glocal companies focused on the LATAM region.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders across the LATAM region, ensuring alignment with the company's legal and business objectives. Regulatory Compliance: Provide expert legal guidance on compliance with Argentina and regional LATAM regulations, particularly in the payments sector. Monitor and assess regulatory changes, ensuring the company's operations remain compliant with regulatory bodies. Regulatory Monitoring & Reporting: Continuously monitor updates and changes in local and regional regulations, especially within the payments ecosystem. Prepare and deliver detailed reports to management on regulatory developments and their potential impact on the business. Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure the company's interests are well-protected and aligned with regulatory standards. Ensure all contractual terms comply with regional regulations and legal frameworks. Expansion Strategy: Lead legal support for the company's expansion plans across LATAM, providing regulatory analysis, legal risk assessments, and guidance on how to navigate the legal landscape in new markets. Identify opportunities for growth while ensuring compliance with local regulations. Internal Training & Advisory: Provide internal training and advisory support to various departments (e.g., compliance, operations, sales) on legal and regulatory matters. Ensure that internal teams are up-to-date on the latest regulatory requirements and best practices. Legal Presentations & Documentation: Prepare clear and concise presentations for senior management and stakeholders regarding legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. Effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences in a practical, business-oriented manner. What We're Looking For:
Experience: Prior experience in the payments industry and with companies regulated by the BCRA Experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, and legal advisory in the payments or fintech sectors is highly preferred. Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Argentine and LATAM regulatory frameworks, particularly in relation to payments, financial services, and digital banking. Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements and to monitor changes in regulations at both the local and regional level. Commercial Focus: Strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to legal and business challenges, with the ability to balance regulatory compliance with business objectives. Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with the LATAM payments landscape and experience working in multi-jurisdictional environments across the region. Knowledge of how different LATAM countries approach regulatory matters in the payments and fintech industries. Language Skills:
