Senior Project Manager
The Construction Department is in charge of all wind farm projects from start to completion. The team takes responsibility for a wind farm once a contract has been signed and remains responsible until the final tests are completed. Working closely with the sales, legal, logistics, procurement, and finance departments, the construction team has to keep the project on budget and on schedule, ensuring our safety and quality standards are met.
This role will be part of the Construction LATAM SOUTH Team, having in scope Chile, Argentina, Peru, and Uruguay.
Responsibilities
1. You will be working closely with global leads and management in Vestas either from Finance, Procurement, Master Data, HR, IT, Services, etc.
in delivering/rolling out global projects within Vestas.
2. Facilitate cross-functional projects and coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget.
3. Create and deliver project plans including the pipeline (portfolio management). These include automation roll-outs, migration of tasks, process improvement initiatives, etc.
4. Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Report and escalate to management and key stakeholders if needed.
5. Report out project status to stakeholders and facilitate steering committee discussions with key executives.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
1. 10+ years in developing global projects related to technology, migration, and continuous improvement.
2. Experience leading personnel and different areas alike Planning, Bid, Contract, Legal, Finance.
3. Great understanding of formal project management methodologies.
4. Experience in negotiating contracts and other aspects that can impact a project.
5.
Relevant experience and knowledge of program and portfolio management.
6. Positive influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work and influence others in a fast-paced environment; ability to work shifts as required.
8. Ability to work unsupervised, with little management oversight.
Good to Have:
1. Project Management Training and Certification.
2. Agile Methodology certification.
