Mercedes-Benz is aiming to take the lead in electric drive and car software with ambitious product development targets and accelerated introduction of new technology. In the area of car software, Mercedes-Benz has announced its own proprietary MB.OS operating system that will be developed in-house. It will allow Mercedes-Benz to centralize the control of all the vehicles' domains and its consumer interfaces. Proprietary software development will allow greater speed and more frequent updates, and will be designed around scalable architectures that will control future development costs.
It is in the area of car SW development and digital SW validation that Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), headquartered in Bengaluru, is looking to hire a Senior Program Manager ready to lead a team in Virtual Integration.
Key Job Responsibilities: Define roadmap to lead in Virtual Integration. Lead a team of talented and competent professionals technically to execute the roadmap with guidance and expertise. Lead innovation and deployment of new capabilities in Digital Validation of ECU SW at component level - Communication, Diagnostics and Security - and at system/feature level. Lead the team to adopt and excel in ASPICE quality standard and Agile/Scrum way of working. Streamline team's operations, including using automation, in order to focus on building new competencies. Engage effectively and pro-actively with partners in Germany and colleagues in Bengaluru to help the team deliver excellence. Dive deep into technical issues together with team members, set technical direction and lead as the technical expert. Basic Qualification: Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication or related field. 13-17 years of experience in automotive SW development and/or validation. Experience in leading a team technically and collaboratively. Experience in leading innovation. Experience in managing diverse stakeholders across time zones. Experience in driving efficiencies by streamlining operations, including automation. Experience in Vector testing tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, vTestStudio, Diva, etc. Exposure to configuration management tools like PVCS, SVN, and requirement management tool like PREEvision and DOORS. Preferred Qualification: Experience in leading a team through a significant transformation. Experience in CAN, CAN_FD and LIN communication protocols. Experience in the CANoe-simulation of new communication protocols such as SOME/IP. Experience in automotive diagnostics (UDS) protocol. Experience in automotive cyber-security. Experience in customizing CANoe using Dot-Net-C#, C-Library, etc. Experience in connection of CANoe to external tools via FDX, C++. Basic knowledge of German language preferred.
