We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior People & Culture Advisor to join our team and provide comprehensive HR support to our people. Based in Norwest Business Park (Bella Vista) and reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and performance management. You will also work alongside the People & Culture Manager to shape and implement our people strategies, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and fostering a positive workplace culture.
In this position, you'll be: Partnering with management to provide expert advice, support, coaching and training on employee relations matters, performance management and talent development. Working proactively with our teams, answering queries on HR issues, systems, policies, processes, and award obligations. Working as a key member of the People & Culture Team to implement HR Strategies that support the company's goals. Lead the recruitment and selection process for both our white-collar and blue-collar roles, including preparing position descriptions, resume screening, interviewing, and conducting background checks to attract and retain top talent. Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention and organisational culture. Advise and manage employee relations matters, including performance counselling, grievances and terminations and provide guidance to resolve. Overseeing Worker's Compensation and management of return-to-work cases. Assisting with the development and implementation of learning and development initiatives. Conduct training sessions on various HR topics to educate and support managers and employees. Developing and maintaining solid working relationships with managers and employees. Keeping informed about current HR trends, best practices and legal requirements and ensuring the business is compliant. Analyse HR metrics and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making. Lead and participate in HR projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement. We are looking for someone who has: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in an HR role, preferably within a dynamic and fast-paced environment (any experience within the construction industry would be highly regarded). Deomstrated experience in managing employee relations, performance management and talent development. Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with employees at all levels. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-orientated mindset. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintaining a high level of professionalism. Familiarity with HRIS systems and proficiency in MS Office Suite. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
