Summary: Performs patient care, health teaching and health counseling in an oncology setting, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN); assists in the goal of individualizing the care of patients in an attempt to support the patients to adapt to the disease process and achieve the highest level of wellness; performs routine nursing care procedures; screens, performs venipuncture and monitors plateletpheresis and whole blood donor procedures; maintains donor and product safety ensuring compliance with State and Federal procedure regulations; enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
Salary range $58,046 - $70,317 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications: Required Education and Experience License Requirement: License or permit to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited practical nursing school's LPN program.
NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
