What you will do
- Build, design, and maintain all websites and software applications;
- Regulate exposure to business stakeholders and executive management as well as other authorities;
- Design, write, and edit website content;
- Understand UI,
cross-browser compatibility, and general web functions and standards;
- Create solutions for identified problems or bugs;
- Communicate with colleagues, managers, and stakeholders daily;
- Execute assignments with the use of web applications, scripts, and programming languages such as Elixir, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs;
- Develop and validate test routines to ensure the quality of the external and internal interface;
- Plan and deliver software platforms and products across multiple organizational units;
- Design assignments with web services like REST, SOAP, etc.;
- Evaluate written code to ensure it meets industry standards and is compatible with all devices;
- Maintain a professional understanding of web development by tracking trends and participating in study groups;
- Accomplish company goals by accepting ownership of new and different requests.
Must haves
- Be truly language agnostic; you need to be agile to pick up new languages and skills and deliver new solutions to unexpected problems;
- 4+ years of web development experience with expertise in Elixir;
- 4+ years of web development experience with expertise in JavaScript frameworks;
- 4+ years of front-end development experience, with expertise in CSS and HTML with a focus on building complex layouts and meeting pixel-perfect design requirements;
- Experience with building performant, responsive front-end components;
- A technical background with knowledge of engineering principles and design patterns;
- Passionate about writing clean, modern, maintainable, & highly performant code;
- Proactive ability and a self-starter attitude to troubleshoot and solve problems;
- A positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach;
- Experience working in an Agile team;
- Self-awareness and a desire to continually improve;
- Upper-intermediate English level.
Nice to haves
- Experience with PHP and at least 1 major framework such as Laravel, Phalcon, Symfony, etc.;
- Experience with TypeScript and at least 1 modern Frontend Web Framework such as VueJS, Angular or Svelte;
- Experience with Server-Side rendering in either Node.js, Next.js, or Hugo;
- Experience in e-commerce engineering;
- Experience with NextJS or Phoenix.
