What you will do: Design, build, and maintain messaging products that enhance Indeed's hiring journey and user experience;Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions;Tackle technical debt and ensure system stability by maintaining existing applications and addressing unanticipated requests from external teams;Implement efficient and scalable solutions using Java, Kotlin, or Scala for the backend, with React and Redux on the frontend;Use best practices to write clean, maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers on the team. Must haves: +3 years of experience using Java, Kotlin, or Scala;Frontend development experience;Experience with modern databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or other SQL/NoSQL databases;Expertise in building RESTful or GraphQL APIs, with a focus on scalability and maintainability;Upper-intermediate English level. Nice to haves: Experience with database design and optimization;Familiarity with messaging queue technologies, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ;Strong software development background with hands-on coding experience;Solid understanding of computer science concepts and software design principles;Ability to work effectively in an agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
