An exceptional opportunity presents itself for a Senior Events Manager to join the Sales & Marketing Department at Raffles London at the OWO.
Reporting into Director of Events, you will sell and plan high profile corporate and social events at Raffles London and to deliver exceptional service whilst doing so. To assume full responsibility for the smooth running of your events and to guide your clients through the event planning process with care and attention, to ensure that every element is thought of and that they have an excellent experience with Raffles London. To develop strong relationships with your clients to encourage repeat business, and to be proactive in developing new business. There is also the opportunity to contribute to projects to strengthen the positioning of the events department as required.
Specifically, as the Senior Events Manager, your responsibility's will include:
To sell and plan events, including taking initial enquiries, preparing proposals, sending contracts, negotiating pricing, preparing event orders, planning, and executing events to the highest level and in-line with Raffles London standards.To work with corporate accounts for much of the time, but to sell and plan social events on occasion.To be present at the event, to provide a smooth link for the client to the operations team and to support in the seamless running of the event for the client.To build up a portfolio of regular clients and to encourage repeat business.To develop new events business and to take proactive action to do so.To conduct site visits and entertain guests.To accurately forecast for all events that you manage, and to keep all bookings up to date and to follow Raffles standards when using Delphi.fdc.To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of event trends and think innovatively to create and offer new and exciting event experiences at Raffles London.Additional responsibilities in absence of line manager or senior employee.Performs other duties as required or assigned including working in a different department or restaurant, than usually assigned.Who are we looking for? A proven track record and ability to provide high levels of service under pressure.Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.An understanding and willingness to contribute to a 24h operational schedule when required.Recent experience in event management in a similar role.A good understanding of revenue management and guidelines to maximise event profit.Market knowledge of competitors and event industry trends.Strong food and beverage knowledge.Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering the best events possible in any situation.Able to work within a team.To be detail-oriented.
